Breakthrough Junior Challenge: Electromagnetic Induction by An Wang Xuelong

As a premise: I gratefully thank the following people for making this video possible: - Classmate Kamtien Ching for filming - Classmate Juan Grau for filming - Mr. Jonathan Lucero for providing the necessary equipment and filming - Mr. Flavio Arguello for teaching me physics. After the above mentioned, allow me to talk about the video itself. It originated from a simple and naïve intent to share my understanding on this interesting topic of Electromagnetic Induction, and the Breakthrough Junior Challenge was the adequate platform for me to transmit it. However, I confess that there are a lot, a lot of information I skipped in order to condense and simplify the video in less than three minutes, and these include: Michael Faraday and his law of EM induction, the relation between electric and magnetic fields (they are the same), heat and loss of energy, Lenz’s Law of double induction, density of magnetic field, magnetic flux, formulas, and more. Even worse, one might find the analogy of gravitational force and electromotive force not well stated or misleading. Knowing this, I declare the following: I alone am responsible for any wrongly connected dot. With my mistakes laid out, I hope that the video permitted you to understand something new or reinforced what you have once studied… in the end, physics is for everyone and in the end, education has no limits, learning is for a lifetime. By the way, for anyone who questions oneself why one studies physics, I can only answer you that perhaps it allows an individual to manifest his or her subjective sense of joy by being able to understand this objective reality that surrounds us. #breakthroughjuniorchallenge Before concluding, in order to avoid copyright infringement, the following has to be said: - The video was edited using Wondershare Filmora - The animation employed was made with Adobe Flash CS3 - The simulation of the battery connected to some wires originated from PhET Colorado. - Two soundtracks were used: Carefree and B-roll, both from Kevin MacLeod. - Sound effects inserted involve: 1. Whoosh Transitions Various Sound FX 2. Bang from Inuyashiki 3. Pewdiepie Duck Sound Effect 4. Explosion +3 5. Teeth Shine Sound 6. Suspense Sound Effects - Suspense (7 sounds)
